Armadale is only 20 minutes away. From here you can catch a ferry to Mallaig, visits its shops and cafes, watch the (Harry Potter) Steam Train coming into the station (or go to Fort William by train yourself), take a short trip to Morar to see the Silver Sands or just a little further to Camusdarach where Local Hero, and Highlander filmed several scenes.
